Ascent.

Carbon and environmental performance management: Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, targets and trends, on a single auditable platform.

The challenge

You cannot reduce
what you cannot measure.

Emissions data arrives from everywhere and agrees on nothing: utility bills, fuel logs, waste manifests, supplier invoices, site spreadsheets that only one person understands. Every reporting cycle starts by rebuilding the same numbers from scratch.

Scope 3 makes it harder again. Fifteen categories, most of the data outside your organisation, and gaps that stall the whole footprint while someone chases a single missing figure.

DASH Ascent turns that scramble into a managed process. Data is captured once through a structured portal with completeness tracking, calculated against the latest published emission factors, and carried through to targets and trend analysis: so the number you report is the number you can defend.

Why Ascent

  • Complete carbon visibilityScope 1, Scope 2 and all 15 Scope 3 categories in one place
  • Keep your footprint movingextrapolation fills gaps from established trends
  • Calculations you can trustemissions calculated using current, recognised emission factors and consistent methodologies
  • Turn data into accountabilitycompare emissions and performance across sites, business units and regions
  • Track progress, not just emissionsset baselines and targets, and see performance against them over time
Built on the GHG Protocol: what Ascent measures and tracks

Key features

Everything a credible footprint needs,
in one place.

From first upload to a defensible number, with the audit trail intact.

01

Scope 1, 2 and 3 coverage

Comprehensive, GHG Protocol-aligned coverage across direct emissions, purchased energy, and value chain emissions spanning all fifteen Scope 3 categories.

02

Structured data workflow

A structured upload portal with built-in completeness and coverage tracking, confirming every required data point is captured across the reporting period before validation and sign-off.

03

Extrapolation for data gaps

Where gaps exist, DASH estimates missing values from established trends and patterns, keeping the footprint complete without depending on every individual data point.

04

Leaderboard benchmarking

Compare performance across sites, business units or regions in a single view, surfacing top and bottom performers to support internal accountability.

05

Targets and trend tracking

Set and track reduction targets across emissions scopes and specific activities, with progress visualised against an established baseline.

06

Waste and energy performance

Track waste generation, diversion and disposal alongside emissions, and keep calculations current with the most recently published emission factors.

Enterprise ready

Managed, secured
and kept current.

A managed platform

Hosted, secured and maintained by GCX, so your team runs reporting rather than infrastructure.

What that means

  • Hosted within Microsoft Azure’s enterprise-grade security infrastructure
  • Maintained in line with Azure’s evolving security frameworks
  • Role-based access from site-level data capturers to executive leadership
  • Ongoing platform upgrades and new functionality included as standard

Data you can defend

Every figure traceable from capture to sign-off, ready for the questions that follow.

What that means

  • Completeness and coverage tracking before data proceeds to sign-off
  • Calculations maintained against the latest published emission factors
  • One year of historic data included, for year-on-year comparison from the outset
  • External assurance support available to prepare data for third-party audit

Built to extend

Start with your own footprint and widen the boundary as reporting matures.

What that means

  • Additional years of historic data to build a longer-term trend line
  • Reporting extended across multiple subsidiaries and brands
  • Tenant-level monitoring for retail, commercial and multi-tenant portfolios
  • Solar performance monitoring within the wider energy picture

How it fits

The measurement layer
of the DASH suite.

DASH Ascent is where environmental performance is measured and managed. It sits alongside DASH Pinnacle, which takes that same data and structures it for framework-aligned disclosure, and Packtrac, which handles Extended Producer Responsibility as a separate obligation.

Ascent data feeds directly into Pinnacle’s environmental key performance indicators and disclosures, drawing on a single data set without duplicate capture. Run Ascent on its own if measurement is the immediate need, or with Pinnacle when the reporting obligation follows.

Who it is built for

  • Sustainability and environmental teams building a credible baseline
  • Operations managers accountable for site-level performance
  • Property and facilities portfolios tracking energy, water and waste
  • Organisations setting and reporting reduction targets
  • Groups comparing performance across sites, brands or regions
  • Teams preparing emissions data for third-party assurance
